Private and contract maintenance

Grounds4Change offers maintenance contracts taylored to suit the needs of both individuals and organisations. We also design and build low maintenance schemes and create sustainable attractive gardens.

Example 1

Work was undertaken to improve an open space in Southmead.

This included carrying out accessible community consultations, fundrasing, involving residents in practical activities such as wildflower planting, bulb planting, clearing ground, and clearing rubbish from the river and the surriunding area. Staff coordinated the installation of a bridge, sculptures and seating that local young people helped to design. Grounds4Change secured extra funds to implement this work.

Example 2

A scheme designed by the Bristol City Council Landscaping Department implemented by Grounds4Change and local residents.

The scheme provides a low maintenance solution to a small space in the inner city that local people can now take pride in.

Example 3

The landscaping team deliver the commercial element of the company. Grounds4Change is, however, a not-for-profit organisation and all our revenue is invested back into the company to help improve gardens and open spaces in deprived communities across Bristol.
